Some of my favourite painting subjects are birds. I strive to capture my affection for our feathered friends. Their dazzling colours, cheeky interactions and humorous antics are all so appealing.
We are very fortunate in Australia to be able to observe such a variety of bird life on a daily basis. The Magpies, such handsome strutting guardians of their garden territories; the magnificent yet raucous Cockatoos; dainty darting Wrens and Finches; Emus that inquisitively run alongside the road in paddocks watching passersby; laughing Kookaburras; and outrageously cheeky Lorikeets and Parrots are great sources of entertainment and allure for those who take time to observe.
